SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Resources from Parent Education Night

On Tuesday, Vivienne Pustell, Director of Digital Safety, joined parents to share tips and information about keeping teenagers safe online. The presentation was incredibly informative and included information about talking to your child about online issues, understanding the permissions apps use on your phone, and protecting your child’s digital footprint.
We’ve linked the presentation that Vivienne shared here. Included in that presentation are a number of incredibly helpful resources to use when navigating the conversations about appropriate technology use and digital safety.

Students Should Not Be in the JUHSD Building

We’ve been asked by our neighbors in the Jefferson Union High School District Building to ensure that students are not in the building at any time without specific adult supervision. Please remind your students that they should not be in the building at any time (even to use the vending machines), but especially not before and after school. It is incredibly important that we maintain our positive relationship with our neighbors and uphold behavior expectations in the building. That building is a place of work for many and we need to respect the space and the people who work there. Thank you for your support in ensuring we can continue to uphold our commitment to our neighbors.

Shasta Application Day – March 3rd from 11am to 1pm

On Saturday, March 3rd, Shasta invites all prospective families who have not yet applied to come to campus to complete their applications for the 2018-2019 school year. We will have Shasta students on hand to answer questions and share their experiences, Mr. Suarez and Ms. Escobar will be available to help families complete the application, and families can tour the campus and learn more about our school. If you have friends, family, or neighbors who are interested in applying to Shasta, please encourage them to come to the Application Day! We look forward to welcoming them to campus and hope they consider joining the Shasta community.
