Andrew McCarty joined Summit Public Schools in 2014 as a physics teacher. He studied Astrophysics at UC Berkeley, where he also completed his credential work through the CalTeach program. He is a senior fellow of the Knowles Teacher Initiative and a Noyce Scholar. Currently he is earning his MS in Instructional Science and Technology at CSU Monterey Bay. Andrew enjoys quality coffee, brunch, and the outdoors. He enjoys building furniture and built a telescope in high school with John Dobson.
