10th Grade English Teacher
Liz joins the Shasta team for her inaugural year. As an actress and teacher in southern California, she has been teaching for 12 years. She studied at Mills College and San Diego State University. She recently received her English teaching credential from University of Redlands. Knowing that the arts hold keys to creative problem solving and real-world skills, she uses dramatic techniques heavily in her classroom. Her three older children have given her plenty of real-world experience and understands that students will use a variety of paths to become global citizens. Through the three main facets of language (speaking, reading, and writing) the mind can communicate wonderful new ideas that give voice to new paths.
