Math I Teacher
Patricia Henriquez joined the team Summit Public Schools in 2017 as a Math I Teacher and Mentor. She studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Miami in Coral Gables FL. Before becoming a teacher she worked for seven years as a systems integration and technology consultant. She decided to become a teacher because she wanted to be the teacher she never had growing up – one who deeply cares about her students, helps them see the magic and power of mathematics, and is proactive about ensuring her students are given all the opportunities they need to succeed. She also became an educator because she believes that education is the social justice of our time and is passionate about working towards ensuring that all children have access to a good quality education. When she is not teaching or spending time with students she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
