Food Service at Shasta
Child Nutrition Program
Summit Public Schools is proud to participate in the National School Lunch Program. This year, we are partnering with LunchMaster, a USDA certified vendor, to offer your child healthy and nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch every day. We provide hot and cold meal options daily. If your child has dietary requirements, please contact our school’s front office.
Applying for Free and Reduced Price Meals
Families can apply for free or reduced price meals. We request all families complete a meal application every year. Even if your child does not eat school meals, eligibility for free or reduced price
meals can entitle you to benefits such as waivers for SAT/ACT exam fees and college application fees.
Complete your meal application online today on this website: https://mymealtime.com
Register or sign in, click on “Free & Reduced Applications,” then select “New Application.” Next, choose “California” and “Summit Public Schools,” and proceed to complete your application. You will need your child’s student identification number. Please contact your school’s front office if you have any questions or prefer to complete a paper version of the application.
Be sure to fill out your Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) and Scholarship forms each new school year!
For families who don’t qualify for free school meals, Summit charges meals at the time of service and
sends invoices homes to families at the beginning of every month. Below are prices for this year.
Payment can be made by check (made out to Summit Public Schools: Shasta), cash or online using a credit card. You can sign up to pay online on this website: myschoolbucks.com. For more information about our meal charge policy, please refer to our student and family handbook.
Please find our non-discrimination statement here.
The only food accommodation we provide on a wide and daily basis is vegetarian. Any student with a food limitation beyond this can fill out the attached medical form to have a meal that accommodates his or her health needs.
