Shasta Bulletin: August 19, 2018

Greetings Black Bear Families,

We had a fantastic time on the 6th Annual Shasta Camping Trip! Thank you to the many parents who drove students, prepared and served meals, and donated money for buses to ensure that our entire school community could spend time together. A special congratulations to Mr. Dalton’s senior mentor group (pictured below) for winning the mentor olympics for the second time! If you have any photos from the camping trip that you would like to submit for the yearbook, please email them to!

This week, all students will embark on their first round of Expeditions classes. Students should report to their mentor rooms at 8:20 AM on Monday to receive their Expeditions course schedules. For questions about our Expeditions program, please reach out to the Expeditions leadership team of Lucretia Witte (, Kalyn Olson (, and Monica Hanson (

Finally, this Wednesday (August 22nd) is Back to School Night and Pathways to College Night! The night is a fantastic opportunity for all families to meet the 2018-2019 Shasta faculty, learn more about our academic program, and spend time with your student’s mentor. We hope to see all families at the event. Pathways to College Night (more information below) starts at 6:15 PM and Back to School Night runs from 7:00-8:30 PM.

Thank you!!
Wren, Ava, Adelaide, and Sergio
